AVITOPIA - Birds of Angola

Angola has a very large diversity of habitats ranging from the extremely dry deserts in the south to the rainforests in the north. Of the many endemics, most live near the town Gabela, e.g. in the Kumbira Forest. According to BirdLife International, Angola shares a total of four Endemic Bird Areas (EBA) with its neighbors. Angola has nine national parks, which together make up more than 12% of the country's territory. Recently, efforts to protect nature have greatly increased, also because its tourist aspect has gained in importance.This multilingual (en, de, es, fr, ja, cn) bird guide introduces the entire bird life of Angola in colored pictures.
